Using the Map

The WiFi Mundo map is one of the most useful resources when you are on holiday.  Using the map is simple and intuitive.

Connecting to the Map

To see a hotzone map, on the top menu select the area under Hotzones or click here.

If you are connecting from a WiFi Mundo hotspot, then your browser will take you to a map.  In the centre, you will see a red circle showing where you are.

If you are connecting through another internet connection, then the red circle will be placed at a default location in the hotzone.

Your Location

You can change your location by right clicking on the map or clicking on the Change my Location button at the top of the map. 

You can return the map view to your location by clicking My Location at the top of the map.

Changing Map View

You can change the type of map you see between a satellite, terrain and map view, or a hybrid combination by ckicking at the top of the map.

You can zoom in or out by clicking the + and - symbols at the bottom of the map.

Displaying Locations

By opening one of the categories and checking a box on the tree, the map will show all points in that category.  Your most recent selection will be displayed green.  Unchecking the box will remove the selected points from your map view.

If your selection does not fall within the visible map, a message will appear.  Click the message and the map view will move to display your last selection.

Showing More Info

To see more information about a displayed map point just click on it. Star map icons have complete information, circles will have only basic information.
